14 DAY TOUR OF GHANA

This fourteen days tour takes you all 16 regions of Ghana.  It affords participants the opportunity to experience the whole of the country. It takes you to all the most important tourist attraction sites of Ghana. From the largest national park to wildlife, the largest rain forest, the tallest mountain, the largest man-made lake and dam, the museums and castles to the cleanest beaches in Ghana.

Itenary :

Day 1

Arrival at  Kotoka International Airport – Orientation – Night life in Accra

Day 2

We take you to Hans Cottage and then Kakum National Park. The tour also takes you to the infamous slave castle, the Cape Coast Castle. You spend the night at Ko-Sa Lodge located on the beach.  – Elmina Castle – Beach/culture night

Day 3

We drive to Elmina Castle, another slave castle, to learn more about history of slave trade in Africa.. Later we travel to Accra to spend the night in Kokrobite beach and then in a comfortable hotel.

Day 4

The tour takes you to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the National Museum, the National Science Museum, the Parliament house, the Accra International Conference centre and the Accra Court Complex

Day 5

We set off early morning to Akosombo. We take a tour of the Akosombo Dam, Ghana’s main source of hydro-electric power. We shall also see the Adomi Bridge  and then enjoy a ride in the Cruise ship, the Dodi Princess to the Dodi Islands. We spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Akosombo.

Day 6

We set off early morning to Wli Village. Later in the day we hike to West Africa’s highest waterfalls, the Wli waterfall. We travel to Afadjato to spend the night in a comfortable hotel there.

Day 7

We climb Ghana’s highest mountain, mountain Afadjato. We travel to Damongo in the north of Ghana.

Day 8

We travel to see the Larabanga Mosque and then do a driving safari at Mole National Park, Ghana’s largest wildlife refuge and most visited tourist site. We spend the night at Mole Motel.

Day 9

We travel to Wechau to visit the Hippos Santuary. We spend the night in Wechau.

Day 10

We travel to Paga near Ghana’s border with Burkina Faso. We visit the famous Crocodile Pond

Day 11

We travel to Tongu Hills and Tengzug Shrine and then we continue to spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Tamale.

Day  12

We travel to see the  Kintampo waterfalls and the Boabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary. We spend the night in Kintampo.

Day 13

We travel to Kumasi. We visit the Manhyia Palace Museum to learn about the rich history and culture of the Ashantis. Later we visit the largest natural lake in Ghana. We shall also experience night life in Kumasi.

Day 14

We travel to Bonwire, the origin of Ghana’s famous hand woven cloth, the Kente Cloth to learn about the history and how it is made. We shall also visit West Africa’s largest open market, Kejetia.

The tour ends here. Departure to Accra.
